Animated EYES displays are installed at two signalized intersections in downtown Clearwater, Florida. . . Cleveland Street and Garden Avenue and Cleveland Street and Fort Harrison Avenue. Cleveland Street has one through lane in each direction plus left-turning and right-turning lanes in each direction. Garden Avenue has one through lane in each direction with no left-turning lanes but right-turning lanes in each direction. Ft Harrison has one through lane in each direction with no left-turning lanes but right-turning lanes in each direction; left turns are prohibited from Ft Harrison to Cleveland. The EYES display was installed on the leg of the intersection with the highest incidence of conflicts. Crosswalks at these locations were eight feet wide and marked by two parallel white lines.
