TRIS and TRB Research in Searchable Format

Want to Find More?

These free, web-based resources find full text and citations for pedestrian- and bicycle- related publications.

TRIS Online, http://199.79.179.82/sundev/search.cfm, is the premiere searchable database for access to the literature of transportation research, safety, and operations. The public domain, web based version of TRIS Online was developed and is maintained by the Transportation Research Board and the National Transportation Library of the U. S. Department of Transportation. TRIS Online provides access to over 420,000 bibliographic records covering transportation research published in books, journal articles, technical reports and other media, coverage of Federal, state, local and association publications and conference proceedings. The time span covers literature from the 1960s to the present, with some coverage of prior years. Selected links (usually for items published in recent years) provide access to full text.

TRB Publications Index, http://www4.nationalacademies.org/trb/onlinepubs.nsf/web/index, contains over 21,000 annotated citations for all TRB and Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) publications from the mid 1970s until present. All NCHRP and TCRP publications, including Transportation Research Records, Special Reports, Transportation Research Circulars, TR News, and Conference Proceedings, are included. Each individual paper from the Transportation Research Records, Conference Proceedings, Circulars, and TR News is indexed. Citations from the index contain either direct links to TRB's Electronic Bookstore, a form for ordering out of print publications, or the full text of electronic documents.
