US Rules and Regulations Related to APS

Summary
This section includes an overview of standards development in the US and a summary of current standards and requirements in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as of the date of publication.

The Draft Public Rights-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines were made available by the Access Board for public comment on June 17, 2002. Some changes can be expected as a result of the rule-making process.
