Promising Practices and Solutions in Accessible Transportation: Public Involvement in the Transportation Planning Process Webinar

10/12/2011 – 10/12/2011

Web-based, USA

2:00 - 3:30pm EDT

The National Center on Senior Transportation and Easter Seals Project ACTION are pleased to partner to bring you this webinar. As part of Easter Seals Project ACTION's Promising Practices and Solutions in Accessible Transportation series, the focus of this webinar is the importance of public involvement in the transportation planning process.

Over the years, an increasing emphasis has been placed on public involvement in transportation planning. Combined with the requirement for coordination among programs receiving specific federal funds for transportation, the opportunity for advocates for senior and accessible transportation to gain a seat at the table for planning and implementation has grown.

This event is designed for transportation advocates who want to come to the table better informed and therefore better prepared to offer input that will be heard, understood and incorporated into the over-all plan.
