The Safe Routes to School National Partnership will be issuing a new resource guide in June called "Implementing Safe Routes to School in Low-Income Schools and Communities." As part of the launch of the resource guide, the Partnership will be holding two webinars to highlight some promising practices and creative strategies that have been successfully employed in low-income communities.
In this second of two webinars, you will hear from two local experts:
- Bill Swiatek, Senior Planner, Wilmington Area Planning Council, Wilmington, DE - speaking about addressing limited professional resources and improving the built environment around Southbridge Elementary School.
- Christy Filby, parent champion, Ridgeway Elementary School, East Moline, IL - speaking about addressing limited professional resources and engaging city leaders in Safe Routes to School
