1000 Cities, 1000 Lives

Worldwide,
For World Health Day 2010, cities around the world will use the Ciclovia model to close their streets to traffic and promote physical and mental health activities. Ciclovia means "bicycle path" in Spanish, and it is a program gaining widespread popularity as a means to promote physical activity, community and economic development, and environmental stewardship.
